Adult Programming-Fall 2004

Fitness:  Step/Interval  and Combo Aerobics:

We are excited!!!!  Something new and something old makes this program something you will want to sign up for immediately.   Three experienced instructors are combining their talents to bring you three nights of cardio fun.  Cathy Burley-Sowa will work you on Monday and Wednesday nights for Combo Aerobics.  She will mix up the routine to what the class wants – either straight aerobics or tae-bo and a little of both.  Then to end the session, a weight and floorwork routine.  On Tuesday evenings, Debi Fulcher/Dana Boyak will offer Step/Interval Aerobics.  This combines step aerobics, free weights, isolated exercises, kickboxing and floor work for a great workout.  Please bring a  mat or towel, weights (recommend 3-5 lbs) and water to both classes.  Instructor has extra steps for those who do not have one.

Age:    14 & over        Time:   5:15 pm – 6:30 pm   Day:  Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday

Fitness:  Water Aerobics

Back again by popular demand.   Space is limited – payment guarantees your spot in the pool.  Get a great work-out without impact.  This class is great for cardiovascular training and toning.  There is a limit for this class so call our office today to get in.  Please bring weights, fun noodle and water shoes.  Lots of fun.  You don’t feel like you are working out.  Instructor:  Mary Jo Sadak.   

Age:    14 & over        Time: 5:15 pm – 6:10 pm     Day:  Monday & Wednesday

Place:              Comfort Inn Pool       Cost:  $70

Dates: Session I-12 weeks:  September 13, 15, 20, 22, 27, 29, October 4, 6, 11, 13, 18, 20, 25, 27, November 1, 3, 8, 10, 15, 17, 29, December 1, 6, 8, 2004.


Fitness: Yoga Class

Yoga is a practical, holistic workout.  It combines stretching and resistance exercise, which strengthens and loosens the body.   Yoga improves balance, posture, and your breathing.  It is an antidote to the stress of daily life.  Free your spirit and calm your mind with Yoga.  Instructor:  Lynn Chamberlain

Age:    14 & over        Time:  5:30 pm – 7:00 pm    Day:  Mondays

Place:  Mather Building, 2nd Floor, North Center Room

Dates: Session  I-6 weeks:  September 13, 20, 27, October 4, 11, 25, 2004. 

Dates:  Session II-6 weeks:  November 1, 8, 15, 29, December 6, 13, 2004 

Cost:    $25 per Session.   Sign-up for both sessions at once:  $40.


Fitness:  Co-Ed Volleyball – Fall League

It is time for fun on the court again.  Get your teams together and get ready for another great season of volleyball!  Leagues will be split into a Recreational League, where the goal is to have fun and get some exercise and a Competitive league, for more experienced players and the referee watches play on a stricter basis.  If you are interested, but do not have a team, please let us know.  Age:     18 & over – out of high school


Important Dates:  September 15, 2004 Deadline for team registration.   **Managers Meeting – 6 pm. APRD Office.    September 27, 2004 all player contracts, rosters and team fees are due. 

Cost:    Competitive League:  $30 per person       Subs:  $3 per person per night

              Recreation League:     $200 per team

Recreation League Dates:       Sept. 27, Oct. 4, 11, 18, 25, Nov. 1, 8, 15, 29, Dec. 6, 2004.

Competitive League Dates:    Sept. 29, Oct. 5, 13, 20, 27, Nov. 3, 17, Mon. 22, Dec. 1, 8,    2004.


Payment Requirements:

We need a minimum amount of participants for ALL classes, 10 people.  All payments are due on or before the start of each class session.  You can purchase a pass for each individual class or purchase our “Punch Pass.”  This will allow you to attend any of our classes during the current session.  This will allow you the freedom to cross train.  You can purchase your Punch Pass at APRD, bring it to the daily class of your choice, the instructor punches and dates your pass.  You MUST present your pass to the instructor BEFORE class to participate in that class.  THERE ARE NO EXCEPTIONS!  You can purchase as many punch passes during the current sessions as needed.  All passes valid only during the current session.   Cost:          10 Class Punch Pass = $45      25 Class Punch Pass = $85
